| Bio: | There is a place. Like no place on Earth. A land full of wonder, mystery, and danger! Some say to survive it: You need to be as mad as a hatter. ![]() Which luckily, I am. ♥ ♠ ♦ ♣ The true personality of the Hatter is hard to find through the mazes he often loses it in. Even if you spent the time to get through and find the true him, you'd need to filter the truth from his fantasies, remove his shell of of 'innocence' and leave him for what he truly is. Insane. He is regularly on the influence of something or another, and his almost phobic avoidance of personal questions doesn't help. Getting to know him on any 'normal' terms can be deemed pointless and it's those who truly stay around long enough to get through his mazes and figure out his games that are the only ones he can manage to really give a shit about. Other than those select few, Hatter's concern is completely for himself. No alleigences, no contracts, no commitments. He does what he pleases and when, uncaring for the chaos he often leaves in his wake. Particular is a word often used to describe his indulgences, but sometimes "compulsed" or "obsessed" prove to be more accurate. Most things in life don't matter to Hatter at all, but the odds and ends that do are deathly important, and with his complete lack of conscience it's when you mess with these things does Hatter become dangerous. Underneath his happy go lucky nature lies nothing but evil. Manipulative, quick-witted and sharp tongued, Hatter has a knack for getting the things he needs fairly easily. He is a people reader with attention to small details and an impeccable memory, he could probably write a book on how to please every person important enough to gain his interest. How to please, enrage, entrap... destroy. A truly malicious genius, and he will hide the fact as well as he can, watching and biding his time until he gets what he needs, leaving his poor victims clueless. Simply interacting with the Hatter can be a headache in itself, riddling his speech with plays on words, taking the wrong things too literally and remaining blatantly unconcerned with what's truly important. He finds it hilarious to poke, prod and piss people off, giddy at how well he can do it with words alone. Though Hatter is generally an honest man, in words if not intentions, the actual truth is hard to get out of him. Rather it be because he finds it more fun to dance around the subject or because he's so manipulative and twisted he can convince even himself the validity of his nonsense, varies, but even for being a fugitive it's rare for him to intentionally lie. Somehow, despite all of this, people like him, and that's all that matters in his book. Starting at a young age, he became pro at changing face to please the people around him, in turn reveling in how they then strived to please him back. It was a give and take situation he realized he could make a take and take one if he played his cards right. Convincing others to do his bidding became rather easy the more he analyzed them, and soon he found himself reluctant to do much 'work' himself at all. Nothing about the boy is half-assed, and that includes his emotions. For the most part, Hatter is an extremely happy individual, even if he has to force the world around him to change to remain so. But, his intense mood swings come and often without warning, taking his emotions from one end of a spectrum to another at the drop of a hat. No matter what or how he is feeling, he's doing so at magnified intensity that only drugs can dim... ironic, since drugs drove him mad to begin with. There's a system he has for which drugs he'll do and when, which is just one of his many ridiculous rituals, organized only in it's chaos. Erratic and spontaneous as the boy is, there's rules and order that everyone has to follow, most of all himself. Though, he has the fun ability to completely turn the rules upside down if he finds it suits him better. Natural ADHD makes Hatter hard to keep up with, and his chronic drug use and general insanity doesn't help, but anyone who can is at least guaranteed to never be bored. Maybe mangled and a little bewildered, but one thing that can always be said about the Mad Hatter, if even for the amount of shock value alone, his personality is almost as addictive as the drugs he deals. ♥ ♠ ♦ ♣ | ||||||||||
